• 3 - Machines & Equipment
  In this section you will familiarize yourself with the machines and equipment you will find at the workshop, so that you can plan and execute your working tasks successfully.

  You will also learn the steps for printing with each machine, and where can you book a time to use them. Click on the page of each machine to find out more in-depth information about them.

  
  

  • ATTENTION! Every machine at the workshop is marked with traffic light colours to promote their safe use in workshops:

     RED: Only staff can operate this machine.

     ORANGE: Students can operate this machine under staff supervision and following a relevant induction.

     GREEN: Students can operate independently this machine following a relevant induction.

    Ultimaker 2+ & Ultimaker 3 Page

    

    Ultimakers are Material Extrusion (FFF or FDM) printers.

    At the workshop we have (6) Ultimaker 2 and (2) Ultimaker 3.

    These machines are labelled GREEN.

    MakerBot Replicator Z18 Page

    

    MakerBot Replicator Z18 is a Material Extrusion (FFF or FDM) printer.

    At the workshop we have 1 MakerBot printer

    These machines are labelled GREEN.
