  • In this section, we will examine the basics of 3D printing: what is it, what can you do with 3D printing, and we will explain some of the terminology used in the field, as well as its benefits an limitations.

    • How does it work?

      At the workshop, we use 3 different technologies of 3D printing:

      • Materia Extrusion (FFF or FDM) The material is extruded through a nozzle or orifice.
      • Vat Polymerization (SLA): A photo reactive polymer is selectively cured by a UV laser.
      • Material Jetting: Droplets of photo reactive polymer are deposited in a platform and cured by UV light.
