Course learning outcomes

This course is intended as a short introduction to entrepreneurship in the artistic and creative fields. The course is definitely not a "blueprint" for a company, for this you should use the services offered by various players to actually help you set-up and run your company.

The aim of the course is to introduce some concepts as well as our model for entrepreneurship. This should give you a picture of what personal skills will be useful. We hope that the course helps you in deciding on whether you want to set out as an artist entrepreneur or not. If you decide that you would like to try an entrepreneurial career (or if you already have made that choice), then after the course you should be able to create a development plan for yourself.

Some instructions on completing the course

You need to compete the modules in order, you cannot jump ahead. For the optional reflection modules.

Videos cannot be scrolled back or forward, if you want to, you can re-watch the complete video after you have watched all of it.

There are two quizzes in each module, you need to pass all quizzes in two attempts to complete the course. Note that some quizzes can have more than 1 correct answer. To pass a quiz you need to answer correctly at least half of the questions.

When you have completed the course, to get your credit registered, send an email to johannes.kaira@aalto.fi . In the email you should also indicate whether you have answered all the reflection questions and ask for a feedback session.

Instructions of answering the quizzes.
Quizzes consist of 2 or 4 questions. Answer all the questions and the "Submit" all questions together. After you have submitted the answers, you can review the outcome. If you did not get a passing grade (1/2 or 2/4), you can retake the quiz once. If you need to retake the quiz, make sure you carefully review the relevant material, don't rush of to try to "guess" the correct answers!
