This chapter will dive deeper into remote rock mass mapping techniques and software used to extract rock mass parameters. Participants will learn how to use CloudCompare (CC) for semi-assisted extraction of orientation data of fractures, plot them on to a stereonet, use semi-automatic method like Discontinuity Set Extractor (DSE) to plot discontinuity set number and other parameters, finally participants will learn how to digitize a roughness profile from a 3D point cloud. A detailed summary is provided at the end of the chapter.
