    This chapter deals with data acquisition exercises for both ground based and airborne survey.

    A description of geological compass of two different types (Brunton and Freiberg) and its application is demonstrated.

    Finally, there is an optional task related to the RealityScan exercise where student can learn how to perform data acquisition with an app from their smartphones.
