      1. These are regular "paper exercises" conserning Second Order Differential Equations. You must return your answers as a PDF file.
      2. You must submit full answers with intermediate steps explaining your reasoning i.e. sending only the final results will not suffice and will not reward you with any points.
      3. After starting the assignment you will have 48 hours to submit your answers.
      4. Only your best score (paper/Week 6) will be taken into account in the final grading (10 points max).

    • There are 13 problems each worth 1 point. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. The maximum points for Week 6 is 10.

Materials: Videos 10, Chapter 9  (Differential Equations)

This quiz will close on Sunday, 21 February 2021, 1:00 PM. The reason for this change is the exam on Monday, 22 February, so that it is possible to see the model solutions before the exam.

    • There are 12 problems each worth 1 point except for problems 3 and 12, which give 2 points. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. The maximum points for Week 5 is 10.

Materials: Videos 8 (Part 4) and 9, Chapters 8-9  (Methods of Integration, 1st order Differential Equations)

This quiz will close on Monday, 15 February 2021, 11:59 PM.

Important! As of now, these are the known issues regarding the quesion set:

      1. There seems to be an error in the 3rd question (integration by substitution) which sometimes prevents advancing further even with a suitable substitution.
      2. In some cases the last exercise might not grant points even if answered correctly.

No need to worry though, your answers will be manually checked after the due date and points will be rewarded accordingly!

    • There are 13 problems each worth 1 point. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. The maximum points for Week 4 is 10.

Materials: Videos 7-8 (Parts 1-3), Chapters 7-8 (Integral. Note: Methods of integration will follow on Week 5.)

This quiz will close on Monday, 8 February 2021, 11:59 PM.

    • Note: This set of exercises was accidentally opened before it was ready. The only missing part is the translation of problem 8, which will be available later. However, it is possible to start solving the problems already now.
      Fixed.

There are 10 problems each worth 1 point. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. The maximum points for Week 3 is 10.

Materials: Videos 5-6, Chapters 5-6 (Taylor polynomials, elementary functions)

This quiz will close on Monday, 1 February 2021, 11:59 PM.

    • There are 11 problems each worth 1 point, except for the last one (11th problem) which is worth 2 points. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. The maximum points for Week 2 is 10.

Materials: Videos 3-4, Chapters 3-4 (continuity and derivative)

This quiz will close on Monday, 25 January 2021, 11:59 PM.

Note. In the last question "factors" should actually be called coefficients.

    • There are 12 problems each worth 1 point. There is no penalty for wrong answers and the number of attempts is unlimited. It is enough to solve 10 problems to get the maximum 10 points for Week 1.

Materials: Videos 1-2, Chapters 1-2 (sequences and series)
